About me

I am Vedangi Kulkarni, a 26 year old endurance athlete, adventurer, writer, public speaker, and an entrepreneur. I grew up in a town just outside Pune city in India. I was raised to look beyond barriers and always believe that I can achieve anything that I work hard towards. Although I have never been a “natural” at anything, I’m always willing to say yes, put in the efforts and show up when it matters. I am obsessed with all thing Arctic, Ladakh (in the Indian Himalayas) and snow! Aside from enjoying multiple disciplines of cycling, I am a keen hiker, mountaineer, cross country skier, climber, wild swimmer and I also practice yoga and meditation.
One of my most prominent adventures involves cycling around the world twice. The first time, I was mostly solo and unsupported, aged 19/20 and became the youngest woman to do it. This was back in 2018. The second time was over 2024/25, once again going solo, aged 25/26. Each time, I rode 29,000 km around the world in a matter of months. I have also cycled across the Indian Himalayas when I was 17, skied across Svalbard in 2022, raced Megavalanche in the French Alps, run Peak Divide (a 77km run from Manchester to Sheffield), completed several long hikes in some big mountains and attempted an Arctic Ultra in Sweden.
Basically, I love to throw myself into the deep end, be ridiculously curious about everything, and be outdoors and on the move.
